I took the bolts off the the counter balance gear and drive gear with an impact driver. The drive gear slid off but i cant get the counter balance gear to pull off. Does anybody have any solutions?

It should just slide off. Removed the nut, locking tab washer. Have you tried wiggling it and pulling?
