Hello, I am completely new to Blasters however have had several quads before mostly set up for mud and woods. That is where mine is going to be playing at too. Keep in mind my old big bear 350 2wd used to go anywhere a brand new grizzly 700 would go due to proper set up. I actually have got two blasters from two different friends for a total cost of $700. One is pretty stock with only an exhaust upgrade. It needs a kick start, the gears going from the kick to the crank and a new clutch. The other needs a wiring harness and a front clip but it does already have leak shocks front and rear, longer swing arm, wider rear axle, aftermarket upper and lower control arms. I am going to make these two into one. My plan is to use the better suspension, have the engine rebuilt and do a 240, have the frame, control arms and swing arm powder coated, silver star graphics, blue under body lights, and itp ss wheels. This is where it gets interesting, due to the watery/muddy terrain here I am going to put on mud lites, and a snorkel. Maybe mess with the gearing a little. I will also find a way to mount a small radio up front and extend the rear hand grab to mount a ice chest. Yes I will post pics as this goes along. So my first question will be this. I want to get some 06 plastics, I believe both of mine are the older style. Will the newer plastics bolt right up or will I need to fabricate? I am very excited to have a blaster and am looking forward to the challenge of making it go through the same stuff four wheel bikes go. I like what I've seen on this page and I hope some of you will find my idea interesting and share the ins and outs of these bikes so I can show those honda ranchers how it's done.

blasters arnt really made for mud.

and not sure anyone has ever messed with the gearing, so you will be on your own there

only being 2wd you have to ride on top of the mud to make it anywhere

Probably refering to chain and sprockets.

Might not be any better than a Pig Bear. If you need a snorkel, a Blaster will never work.
