I've been beating my head against the floor trying to get these mounts made. Cardboard templates were kicking my butt as well as the different angles of the frame tubes. I screwed up the back plate so I need to make another one. Just a minor set back. But so far so good.

Thinking of adding some holes in the shock mount between the tubes to give it some eye appeal and lighten it up some also. What do you think?

looks good dave !
yes to the holes, i've used a unibit to create beveled edge decorative holes

Thanks awk. I have, didn't think of it till you mentioned it, cone shaped drill bits. That will work and give it some visual appeal.

Kinda sucks having to do all this work and it isn't done yet, but I think the outcome will justify the work. Also will need a skid plate when this is over, these shock have some nice travel. Will see when it's all tacked up.

And some nerf bars with heal guards so I cam make some mounts to weld on the sub frame

@ Dave. Since you are Handy with moding you may want to keep an eye out for other nerf bars with heal guards other than Blaster specific (they can be pricey). I have used Warrior and Ds650 nerfs with minimal moding if any at all. Being as your front end is wider you have more options as the nerfs wont stick out and your tires wont hit.

I will keep an eye out. Nerfs with heal guards are what I want. When I'm back to work full time, I will start the search.

Thanks man. Getting close to finishing it. Just waiting on one part to show up and it will be ready for welding.

Not sure if you can see all the gusseting. I have one other question to ask you. I do have my kdx ignition. So I can run lighting. What do you think, run lights or no lights. I don't ride at night.
