Bogging Problems..

Names Bubba Baker baught a 97 Yamaha Blaster bout 3 months ago.. and like every time you ride it it bogs like crazy... and if you try going up a hill it has like no power... but my compression is like 110.
Please someone help me out.

110 isnt terribly low, but it is low. Should be upwards of 120 psi.
just some basic things to do that can maybe point you to the problem.

- Clean your carb, could have go some kind of debris int here.
- build/buy leak tester (awk sells them hit him up)

Where does it bog? 1/4 - 1/2 throttle, 1/2 - 3/4 throttle, 3/4 to WOT?

I would guess your carb need to be gone through and air filter replaced/cleaned.

Is the gas old?
have you checked the reeds?

Giddy again Bubba.

The old trick of pulling out the fuel enrichment knob a little at the point of bogging should help to find out the problem.

If it goes better when you pull it out it is too lean, of suffering an air leak!

If worse it is to rich.
