whats your guys opinions on cranks for a yz 250? my stock crank has a groove in it from the bearings going out and i dont think it can be fixed. Ken o connor doesnt recommend running weisco or hot rod cranks in these motors. can any one help me out

Get a used Oem crank and get it rebuilt.

Yup. Aftermarket gaskets, Chinese rod and webs, Chinese rod bearing, Koyo mains and a very nice box. It's the total package.

but you get a sweet decal that says "wiseco" in chinese with the crank

save a lot of future grief by rebuilding your stock crank.

If you decide to run the Wiseco, let me know what you want for the OEM shaft.

are pro x pistons any good? there made by weisco but made in japan rather then china?

pro x are equivalent to the OEM piston, they are cast not forged like the wiseco. There is of course a big debate on whether or not to use a cast or forged piston but if installed and clearanced correctly you will be fine with either.
