got a new quad today.

Well guys I got a new quad today its a 06 Polaris predator 500 TLD.I was trying to sell one of my spare blasters for funding towards another one of my blasters but the thing is I got a guy that contacted me saying that he has a 06 predator that's to much for his kids to handle and that he would like to trade.Well when he got to my place and I looked it over I did not expect it to be in neer mint condition now don't get me wrong it needed a couple things but over all great condition,so I told him I'd do the trade plus $100 for some of the things it needs and he went for it.I must say there are a lot of people that put these quads down but I don't see it? its build well and IMHO way too fast,I've drove just about every quad there is with the exception of a quadzilla but this quad is close to first on my list.so far I've re shimed the valves got a new filter and cleaned the carb as well as new plug and oil change and chain.Tell me what you guys think.

@Quadman1 actually the therd gear tranny issue was only on the 03 and early 04 the 05 and 06 TLD limited editions came with the bullet proof close ratio five speed.If it would of been an 04 down or standard model I would have passed it up,but yeah thanks for the heads up and thanks guys I would agree I got one steal of a deal.I have tires and some other parts on the way.

also today I just raced a good friend of mine that's been spanking me on my Blasty he has a 07 ltz450 he said he wanted to race the predator so I whiped it out and said let's do this,I told him I will only race on the road because it gets no traction on the dirt with the bald tires,so we lined them up and raced well let's just say he's not the king of the hill no more because I not only beat him but I got him with almost three bike lengths to spare,he was sooo upset cause he's a big Suzuki fan lol.I was surprised at the outcome because I know just how fast that little Suzuki is but I had no idea that this big fat predator 500 would of beat him.next weekend I'm going to give another Friends 2011 yfz450 a tri but I think it will not be a big deal seeing its pretty much all stock but it is newer so I'll have to see.again thanks for all the great comments guys.
