1998 big bear NOT A 99 (sorry) Long story short, did a ground up restoration on this quad, drove it all summer with no issues, brought it home in the late fall, figured I'd plow the drive with it, couple months later we get some measurable snow and tried it to start it and NOTHING !!, couple quick checks and i discovered no spark, checked all connections, cleaned all the grounds I could find, replaced the plug, replaced the coil, replaced the stator. Now before we go any farther let me say, I'm not good at all with electrical trouble shooting, never have been prolly never will be, it IS my # 1 weakness. I understand the very very basics and can use a basic volt meter so, if you do have any thought or ideas, PLEASE explain them stupid simple. Thanks very much in advance for any and all replys

I have, however, on monday (going fishing this weekend) I'm going to start from square one, so they'll get re checked. good thinking though, thanks

does the headlight run off the battery? and neutral light?.I bought a 400ex that i had to clean the battery cables and connections to get the thing to start, and yes there is fuses right in that area:)

So, show us some pics of the fish you caught.
sorry, no fish porn. the rivers in NW michigan are at or above flood stage, we decided to clean up around the house, chop some firewood, do some scouting for next weeks turkey opener.
