U still have a DG silencer left?

I know this is an old post but I'm curious if anybody can elaborate on the removal of the brass center threads? The only way I could make an attempt at trying to follow the directions was to maybe knock the brass threaded tube out of the center of the cap, the one that has the flat alignment...
