9 years later, I actually still have this thing and will try to add some updates shortly haha. I’ve built a bunch of cars, trucks and motorcycles in the meantime but the ysr has hung in there. Slowest build thread ever!
I've decided to go the easier route for my YSR50 swap and keep the Blaster engine I built for it as the power plant. So the Dt200 engine will be up for sale. It comes complete with cdi, coil, harness, power valve control motor and of course the engine. The engine can't have had much use at all...
Got a bunch more done on the bike. Just waiting on some nice stainless hardware so I can start final assembly on the big parts. Blaster motor is staying in for sure now. DT200 setup is going on ebay I guess. Tried to post it for sale on here but won't let me post in the classifieds for some reason.
Back to plan A. Now I know the engine fits in and made up an air intake, I can start running the harness back through it and getting the suspension done.
Mocked up the tank, lower fairing and it's looking like it's going to be too tough to get the rad hidden and power valve motor hidden inside the fairing and tank without cutting the bodywork up a ton. The only other option would be to run it naked which I don't want to do. Ive got so much time...
So I finally dragged the ysr stuff off the shelves and back onto my workbench. I've decided to run the DT200 and probably sell off the blaster engine I spent so much time rebuilding/restoring. Now i've got to find a rad that'll fit nice and tig up some brackets for it and the power valve motor...
Looking for a cheap kicker shaft. Don't even need the springs or any of that if you don't have it. The splines are mangled on mine and I already have a spare kicker.
Shipping is to WA state
I've brought lots of bikes the other way- to Canada with and without titles. For us, if it's a road legal bike, I would only import with title. But I did buy a CB750 for parts and they didn't care because it looked so crappy I guess.
There's a DT200 for sale west coast of canada in Vancouver craigslist. I already have a DT engine for my ride.

Been working out of town too much to give this build the time it needs to be a clean well sorted bike, so I boxed it all up until fall again. Better to hold off than rush through and do a hack job. It's going to look factory stock when i'm done.
The dt engine is very complete and I got all the swap cables etc. I still might take the cyl off so I can measure the bore and check the crank. Working in a machine shop makes me very particular about other peoples work.
Only odd thing was the shifter seal was missing entirely. Its the same as...
