hi guys iv still to test ride my blaster to see if my throttle is working yet or not.(testing it tomorrow to find out if its still doing it.)if its still doing the same thing as last september then its lacking power. been reading online with dirt bikes and people say the exhaust port maybe the coz of the lack of power if thats true is this why.

The exhaust port will cause a power loss if it is partially blocked with carbon.

A leak at the header pipe can also cause a lean mix du the the fuel charge not being pushed back into the cylinder.

Nearly always a lack of power is because of an air leak, flooding or incorrect jetting and needle clip placement.

Thanks Man! can't remmeber but iv got the dmc exhaust what position of the needle did you say to use ? removed airlid, dmc and the hemi head. thanks

also how would i go about cleaning the exhaust port? i don't trust myself with a dremel and i don't have the money to get it done. any liquid i can use to clean it up good?

DMC says to use the bottom clip on the stock needle.

I since have moved up the clip one notch as tghe weather gets pretty hot here.

Try the bottom clip, if it babbles at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle or it wont pull through the powerband to get onto the main, drop the clip one notch.

Plug chop the needle to make sure it is not too lean.

thanks man :) hopefully the lack of power was down the air leak i had before i changed the base gasket from the paper one to the Yamaha One. not got much money left to get it fixed if it needs it so if its needing like hundreds spent it will need to sit until xmas :(

only use that DMC needle info if you're running a stock carb ?, and i still don't believe it myself, but worth a try i guess ???

The float level must be correct, the idle must be set correctly to be able to get on to the needle, followed by the main jet.

Awk, stock carb, the DMC loves the stock needle to be pretty rich, I run a DMC Alien and I guess you have seen the vid of my lad doing donuts, that was on the lowest clip.

I since have lifted it one as the weather is warmer.
