just picked up this guy for 450 bucks. so its gona be my little money pit for a few months. ill update you guys with pics as i go along.

well when i got it it had been sitting for a year and it ran like crap. so a carb rebuild is needed. frame needs to be painted. still dunno what im gona do with that..might just go with a candy apple red powder coat..neone know what that costs? its got pro circuit exhaust which is going in the garbage lol..uhhh needs new fenders just ordered front and back silver from maier. new chain and sprockets gona go 14/40 with those 18's. but well see what it needs as i tear it down. the bike thats in my sig got stolen back in march so i had to move on and get another project..but ill keep yall posted

well got carb torn down and rebuilt. put it back on and all it does is bog with the stock 230 main...so after sum cussin i realized that i had almost no compression. i guess the guy that i got it from had been runnin that stock main with the pro circuit and no airbox lid..so yea. broke the kickstart spring too..so now that side needs to come apart. thrillsss
just in case you were wondering my mailbox could also be a garbage can for that procircuit. ill cover shipping costs if your gonna toss it.
it ran..but real crappy. the plug kept fouling out even with the stock 230 and the needle as low as it goes. butttt i just pulled the head and theres a lot of side to side movment with the piston and theres no crosshatch left so its gona sit a week b4 it gets rebuilt.
just dropped off cylinder at dealer. gota be bored 10 over. im gona have them throw a prox piston in it. opinions on prox?
this is what i got so far. gona sand down some more. im going with a nice bright orange paint for frame and black for swingarm and a-arms. so far so good
they didnt have the orange i was lookin for but i saw this burnt copper and i had to try it. i think its gona look great
it looks real good man. i really like that color on the frame and i like what you did with the paint on the plastics
thanks man. yeah i just threw those covers on just to catch overspray. yeah and that dam headlights going lol. its gota be the ugliest thing yamaha made. but all im waiting on now is my cylinder and i think im gona do the timing advance while its all apart
