Alright, well, my family and I always talk about this stuff and I would like to see other people's opinions on here. Okay, here is everything I have to say, please make a response:
I personally think our government is horrible, and it is not getting better. Our economy is obviously horrible. So, what do we do, send money out to other countries of course! Haiti had an earthquake. Does that suck? Yes. That is horrible. But, that isn't our country. It isn't our problem. So, our economy sucks, we're wasting our money elsewhere, and we just get worse and worse and make other countries better and better. In my opinion, that makes us weak and others strong, that's just asking for defeat. Other then that, we keep sending our businesses off to other countries as well. We lose our jobs, we lose our profits, other countries gain both. Goes back to my defeat comment. Alright, to my next point. What happened to doing what the people want? This new healthcare plan, only around 30% of citizens want that, but they are working on passing it anyway. What is up with that? The 70% of people that don't want it just get crossed out? That doesn't make sense to me. A republic is a "democracy: a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them." The supreme power is not representing us! And, in order for a republic to work correctly, citizens need to be educated. Well, I hate to say it, but most of our citizens are not educated good. As the Roman Empire proved, this will lead to the collapse. So, no jobs, no money, no manufacturing, poor government, and uneducated citizens. What a great country. I think we are going to be the next Soviet Union. We will collapse if this doesn't change. This is not a democracy, this is a monarchy.
For those of you that actually read through that, give me your opinions. I may be 16, but I think I am fairly well educated in this. I'm interested in other views.
