Default DIY chain roller mounts

Tools needed: Welder, Grinder, C-clamp, caliper or measure tape, Primer/ paint

Product used : Old Wristpins each cut 1" long (I previously measured wrong and thought they were 15/16" long. stupid plastic rulers Also will need longer bolts the same thread size as originals but 1 and 1/8" long
Ok, I had one mount that was still on and one that was broken off. I replaced both with this mod. I started by cleaning the area I had to weld down to bare metal of course. This includes the wrist pin as it has a chrome finish on it that wasn't making good contact.

Then I was going to press the one over the original but it wouldn't fit. So off it came. I left about a 1/8" on so i'd have some threads and wouldn't have to do any tapping (i suck at that)!

Next I had to grind a little off of the nipple I left to fit the new mount over it. Held it with a clamp and welded it on. That's the top one-

The bottom one I did the same thing to but it was already broken off so i just cleaned it up and put new mount on welded that one too. A little less room to work but do-able.

I just have to wait on freek to send me my special made rollers with the 5/8' hole and i'll bolt them on and be done.

Hope this will help someone. If you want to keep everything stock ya just have to find a piece of tubing the same size as the stock mount. This was cheaper- FREE!
